Persepolis Adapted from the graphic novel memoir by Marjane Satrapi, PERSEPOLIS is an amazingly realized coming-of-age story, told from the perspective of a nine-year- old girl growing up in Iran during the Islamic revolution. Featuring beautiful and imaginative black and white animation, this film is alternately moving and funny — and a remarkable artistic achievement. It’s an autobiographical tour de force and is completely involving and accessible as an animated film. |
