Frequently Asked Questions Why do some films play for so long?If we move on from a film that is doing well, its distributor won't give us their films as readily (or at all) in the future. We try to keep the films coming to you at a constant rate, but every once in a while we seem to get stuck. It's a little frustrating. But be patient, more good films are coming soon! Why we're NonprofitThe County Theater is a non-profit 501(c)3 community-owned theater. And it's one of a precious few remaining hometown art-deco movie theaters. As a non-profit we do many additional things like historic restoration, special programming, and educational outreach. Our operations are driven by cultural and educational values. (With our Board of Directors keeping a sharp eye on the bottom line, of course.) Being a non-profit also allows us to accept tax-deductible contributions to help us accomplish our mission. The County Theater is owned and operated by Closely Watched Films, Inc., a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, Pennsylvania non-profit corporation. The official registration and financial information for Closely Watched Films, Inc. may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement. How do I become a Member?Become
